Chad Frischmann is the CEO and Founder of Regenerative Intelligence (RegenIntel), a global ecosystem superpowered by a network of world class system thinkers and doers creating a virtuous cycle of collaborative intelligence, we enable the effective implementation of the highest impact ‘system of solutions’ for the planet and for people at scale.

From 2014-2022, prior to launching RegenIntel, Chad was the co-author the New York Times best-seller Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming (Penguin, 2017), and the lead researcher and architect of the Drawdown Solutions Framework, the engine underpinning the book, the Drawdown Review (February, 2020), and all communications and engagement efforts at Project Drawdown, one of the world’s leading resources for climate solutions. Leading a global team of solutionists, Chad designed integrated global tools to assess the world’s most effective climate solutions and determine if, when, and how the world can reach “drawdown,” the point in time when the concentration of atmospheric greenhouse gasses begins to decline on a year-to-year basis. As the creator and head of Drawdown Solutions since Project Drawdown’s inception, Chad was the key spokesperson and coalition-builder dedicated to sharing the message and model of the Drawdown Solutions Framework to the world.

With an interdisciplinary background in public policy, human rights, sustainable development, and environmental conservation, Chad works as a systems strategist to build a new, regenerative future with cascading benefits to human and planetary well-being. He speaks and writes widely on topics linking real solutions to global challenges that benefit people and the planet.

Chad provides a systems-based, action-orientated approach to research and strategic leadership. Previously, as the Senior Program Officer at The Europaeum, an association of leading European universities, Chad worked to further international collaboration through academic mobility and exchange between students, researchers, and those working in the public and private sectors. He taught at the University of Oxford and the University of California at Berkeley; and worked as a consultant and researcher for numerous organizations, from small grassroots non-profits to international agencies such as UNESCO, the International Work Group on Indigenous Affairs, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

Chad is an accomplished international speaker bridging science and action to diverse audiences in over 200 talks, interviews, podcasts, and events around the world. Chad’s keynote talks have been featured at the University of Oxford, Harvard, Royal Academy of Engineering, World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD), University of California at Berkeley, Carbon Leadership Forum, University of Washington, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dutch Sustainability Congress, MAD Symposium, Global Sustainable Technology & Innovation Conference (G-STIC), International Conference on Sustainable Development, University of California at San Francisco Medical School, UNFCCC COP 21 (Paris), 23 (Bonn), 25 (Madrid), and 26 (Glasgow), Omega Institute, World Congress on Agroforestry, European Commission, US Government Accountability Office (GAO), US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Parliament of France, Parliament of The Netherlands, TEDxJohannesburg, TED Global’s “We the Future’, Change Now Summit, Future Horizon,  among others. 

In 2021, Chad was named as global Green Warrior by Green is the New Black.
